Cease and Desist

A few days ago we received notification from blogger that someone has served a Cease and Desist notice against our humble little blog. The objection was to our post "SETLIST + PODCAST - 26 APRIL 2008", which has now been removed by blogger.

At first we thought it was a joke, but it would appear not.

We have not been able to obtain information as to what part of the content is in question, but we can only assume that someone out there objects to having their music included within our hour-long mix, and they're the kind of person who can pay someone to sit and trawl the interweb for sites that have posted music by the artist in question. They could have just emailed us at lamourelectronique(at)misspain.co.uk and we would have removed it ourselves...

It was something of a battle that night (see previous post J’ai un probleme). Somehow Dom has managed to stick together a podcast from the interrupted sets (it wasn’t easy).

Then there was the idiot monkey-boy who insisted on drumming on the table throughout Dom’s first set. This got to be rather an irritation, and drastic action in the form of a percussion-less Messiaen organ piece soon put a stop to it…

J'ai un problème

We should have known it was going to be one of those nights, when our taxi driver missed the turning, then decided to execute an illegal U-Turn, followed by a short-cut the wrong way down a One-Way street. And all while a police car watched from behind us. Busted.

We had one or two technical problems to test our mettle too – somehow the plug got pulled twice and all the power to the DJ console went kaput. And as if that wasn’t enough, we had to contend with a gang of good-for-nothings who kept trying to steal all our stuff. Easy it was not.

But none of this seemed to spoil everyone else’s enjoyment, so we say merci and thank you for joining us. Somehow we’ll manage to cobble together a podcast from the interrupted recordings.
